New features

·         Current release focus: V24 introduces a broader refresh of Scorer, with several club administration and scoring workflows updated from the V22 manual.

·         Integrated electronic scoring support: V24 adds integrated support for BridgeMate, BridgePal and BridgeTab3, while retaining BridgeTab2 support. BridgePad is now described as deprecated and no longer supported.

·         USEBIO XML export: V24 adds USEBIO XML export capability for session formats, with a USEBIO path setting and a note that V24 provides USEBIO XML files for both teams and pairs.

·         Cashless payments are now integrated: V22 introduced cashless payments, but V24 documents integrated cashless payments, cashless payment tabs in membership, subscription/payment processing, payment types for players, and paid tournament-entry highlighting.

·         Email administration: V24 adds email options for sending higher-volume club notices and subscription notices, plus a test-email function in Club Details.

·         New backup method: V24 documents a PowerShell-based backup approach using configured backup and sync folders, intended to support cloud storage and avoid long-term buildup of old backups.

·         Expanded scoring-device setup: V24 updates setup guidance for BridgeTab3, BridgeMate and BridgePal, including executable paths, dealing-file handling, and revised remote-server behaviour.

·         Swiss Pairs enhancements: V24 adds Australian Swiss Pairs VP scales, first-round pair-numbering options, and round-by-round player/payment handling for Swiss Pairs. Swiss X-IMP scoring (not using Au VP scales) now uses the recommended procedure in the EBU White Book giving a result as it would on RealBridge using the WBF VP scales.   

·         Teams scoring options: V24 allows Swiss and Round Robin Teams to be scored as IMPs only by setting VP Scale to -1, or as Point-a-Board by setting VP Scale to 1.

·         Custom movement improvements: V24 adds stronger validation and warnings for custom movements, plus Copy Movement and Clone Movement workflows for offsetting boards, cloning Mitchell movements, and creating practical variants.

·         Membership-management updates: V24 strengthens guidance around the Admin record, ex-member/deceased-member classes, email exclusion, unique logins, and preserving access by keeping the Admin member record.

·         Section setup advice: V24 advises against using duplicate section letters and warns against using “R” because it may conflict with RealBridge sections.

·         Reports catalogue refresh: V24 replaces the older report listing with a report hierarchy and updated report-folder overview, including cashless-payment and other newer reports.
